Question words
Put question words at the beginning to ask about a thing, place, time, person, or way.
Rule
After the question word, build the question according to the tense you need.

Notes
- After a question word, use the normal question structure for the tense
- When the question word is the subject, no do/does/did: Who called you? What happened?
- Who can be the subject; what/which can be the object; where/when/why/how are adverbials
- Whom is an object form, but in conversation who is often used for all cases
- How much / How many has a separate quantity card
