Adverbs of frequency
Say how often something happens: always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, never.
Rule
Frequency adverbs go before the main verb but after to be: I usually walk. / I am usually tired. They pair naturally with Present Simple.

Common mistakes
Wrong: She reads often books.Correct: She often reads books.Wrong: I always am happy.Correct: I am always happy.
Notes
- Sometimes can also start the sentence: Sometimes I walk to work.
- Never is already negative - no extra not: I never smoke, not
