There is / There are
Usa esta estructura para decir que algo existe o está presente en algún lugar.
Regla
Usa there is con sustantivos singulares e incontables, y there are con sustantivos plurales.

Errores frecuentes
Incorrecto: There is two chairs in the room.Correcto: There are two chairs in the room.
Notas
- En la primera mención usa there is; después, the: There is a book on the desk. The book is mine.
- Se combina de manera natural con some/any: There is some milk. Is there any milk?
- En una lista, el verbo concuerda con el primer elemento: There is a table and two chairs.
