Will vs Be going to
Both talk about the future: will for decisions made now and predictions of opinion, be going to for plans and predictions based on what you can see.
Rule
Use will when you decide at the moment of speaking or predict from opinion. Use be going to for plans made earlier and predictions from present evidence.
