There is / There are
Utilise cette structure pour dire que quelque chose existe ou se trouve quelque part.
Règle
Utilise there is avec les noms singuliers et indénombrables, et there are avec les noms pluriels.

Erreurs fréquentes
Incorrect : There is two chairs in the room.Correct : There are two chairs in the room.
Remarques
- À la première mention, there is ; ensuite, the : There is a book on the desk. The book is mine.
- Se combine naturellement avec some/any : There is some milk. Is there any milk?
- Dans une énumération, le verbe s’accorde avec le premier élément : There is a table and two chairs.
