Plural nouns
La maggior parte dei nomi prende -s al plurale; l’ortografia cambia dopo -s/-sh/-ch/-x/-o e dopo -y, mentre un piccolo gruppo è irregolare.
Regola
Aggiungi -s alla maggior parte dei nomi. Aggiungi -es dopo -s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o. Consonante + -y diventa -ies. I plurali irregolari vanno imparati a memoria.

Note
- Alcuni nomi non cambiano: sheep, fish, deer
- Vocale + -y prende semplicemente -s: boy → boys, day → days
- Non tutti i nomi in -o prendono -es: photo → photos, piano → pianos, video → videos
- Non tutti i nomi in -f prendono -ves: roof → roofs, chief → chiefs, belief → beliefs
- Nomi sempre plurali: trousers, jeans, glasses, scissors (a pair of trousers)
