Possessive adjectives

My, your, his, her, its, our e their indicano a chi appartiene qualcosa e precedono sempre un nome; per usarli da soli passa a mine, yours e così via.

Regola

My, your, his, her, its, our e their precedono un nome e non si usano da soli. Per una forma autonoma usa mine / yours / his / hers / ours / theirs.

Errori comuni

  • Sbagliato: The dog wagged it's tail.Corretto: The dog wagged its tail.its indica il possesso; it's = it is.

  • Segue sempre un nome: my car, her bag
  • its = appartiene a una cosa; it's = it is / it has
